Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' is another maple grown in the UK for the beutiful purple foliage. Used as a feature tree Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' is one of the best red leafed maples the foliage is a very deep purple - crimson turning a brilliant red in Autumn before fading.

This outstanding maple will reach 5m in ideal conditions and prefers a sunny position in a well drained soil.
