Philadelphus coronarius 'aureus' Care

Easy care is dappled shade to full sun in the UK. A humus rich moist but well drained soil is essential for good growth. Once established this is a fairly drought tolerant plant.

Flowering will be improved with more light, in deep shade blooms will be smaller.

This is a fairly slow growing plant and requires little pruning, howvwe older plants can be pruned back to bring them to size, or to give them a new lease of life. You may find like us that in a shaded position it requires no real attaention at all.
