Juniperus communis compressa

This is a dwarf upright plant with attractive blue green foliage, Juniperus communis compressa is a very slow growing and an excellent plant for the rock garden.

Lovely compact habit and also known as the 'Pencil Point Juniper'.

Care

Growing well in full sun to part shade over time it will reach around 2m in height and it maintains a nice tight columnar habit.

The foliage (needles) have a silvery band which creates the bluish look.

Useful as a narrow screen for confined spaces, as a feature plant either side of a path or arch, or grown in a container. Flowers are not apparent and as it holds its shape so well Juniperus communis compressa needs little pruning.
