Alocasia odora

Alocasia odora is also known as the Night-scented Lily or giant upright elephant ear. Makes a spectacular house plant or conservatory specimen given good growing conditions indirect light and humidity. . With over 70 species of Alocasia the variety in form, color and size is extensive.Originally from South east Asia (Vietnam) and is grown for its foliage and fascinating flower.

Alocasia Odora Growing Conditions and Care

Alocasia odora require frequent watering during summer, misting with a spray bottle will also help. Although usually grown in the pots in the UK they can be grown in the ground if you dig them in Autumn, divide the plant, and over winter indoors or in a Conservatory. Alocasia odora rarely require water during winter.

Water Alocasia Odora using rain water where possible and if grown outdoors 75% summer shade for best results.
