Best Roses
Any guide to the Best Roses or Top Ten Roses for the UK is certain to create a little discussion. The whole notion of 'Best Roses' discussion depends a fair bit on what you want the roses for, for example if you wanted to use roses as a low hedge you could use the Chinese 'winged rose' Rosa sericea. Or for a ground cover rose you could use 'Cambridgeshire', we think one of the best, or maybe the vigorous 'Grouse'. So we are going for 'overall' best flowering roses. This is a new release from Rosen Tantau. Yes, we know this is rose of the year, however we love it for lots of reasons. It's less formal than many roses, its long blooming or repeat flowering. It has great lilac-pink flowers that carry a nice scent and is a low grower. We think it will be popular for a long while.
