Ornamental Grasses come in a such a range from low mounding ornamental grasses to hardy tall growing ornamental grasses such as Miscanthus Sinensis and are readily available for sale from specialist nurseries.

Ornamental grasses range in colour from light green right through to dark chocolate browns, and include evergreen and decidous types. Low growing species such as Hakonechola Marcra 'Aurea' (Japanese Temple Grass) are well suited to shade and look great in the garden border planted between other foliage plants, flowers or bulbs. Pennisetum species and cultivars such as 'Jade Princess', and the moisture loving alopecuroides also have their place in the landcape along with the brilliant red Pennisetum setacum 'Fireworks'. Of course we also have 'Mondo Grass' and many other grasses with ornamental characteristics.
