Taxus baccata 'Aurea' - Golden Yew

Taxus baccata 'aura', a wonderful upright golden yew, grown for its columnar habit and brilliant golden foliage. Reasonably slow growing reaching 6ft (2m) in 8-10 years with an eventual height of 3m. An excellent plant for lining a path of driveway or planted as a screening tree where a narrow upright evergreen is the appropriate landscaping solution.

Growing conditions

The golden yew will grow in full sun to part shade and can also handle low moisture which make it useful for a number of difficult situations along with its upright nature.

Also know as the Golden Irish yew. Remember it is slow growing and toxic, the sap can also cause skin irritation, however when planted in the right position this is not usually a problem.
