Cleome are plants that are easily raised from seeds or seedlings. Cleome viscosa and cleome spinosa are two popular species. Germinate cleome by planting seeds in April to May. Try sowing cleome seeds in the ground under a cloche as they tend to not like being disturbed. Sow on the surface as cleome need light to germinate properly.
