Aeoniopsis plants and species

Also known as Bukiniczia, Aeoniopsis are from the Plumbaginaceae family and will die after flowering. However Aeoniopsis do leave offsets.

Aeoniopsis cabulica is grown for the attractive foliage rather than the flower. The foliage mottled green forms a rossette, looks great in a small pot. Aeoniopsis cabulica is rarely available, try looking at plant fairs, or searching for seed.

Seed Germination

The plant is native to Turkey and seeds can be germinated indoors, best sown in spring and need to be surface sown. They are best sown in individual pots as they are difficult to move. Do not be tempted to divide young seedlings a few months after germination.

Seeds are sometimes offered on ebay.
